I've hit rank one in both the solo and ranked arenas 3 times each now and I've won arena runs with pretty much every class.

This isn't Hearthstone, you don't have class specific cards, it is much more a matter of what cards come up for the class (and now house) you choose and if you are good enough to know to grab them and use them to their best advantage.

there will still be better classes in arena then others. and some colors don't have some type of cards or have less of that type. lethal good example.

Sure, :TESLAGILITY: and :TESLENDURANCE: both have a lot of lethal creatures, which is great to take out big creatures. But if you are matched up against someone playing a bunch of little aggro creatures, they become a liability, because you are paying almost twice as much magicka to summon creatures of the same size, and wasting them to take out what you just got hit by after your opponent already played more creatures to hit you with next turn.

It is basically a game of rock, paper, scissors, lizard, Spock. Certain classes have certain keywords to help them beat other classes, but unless you know which classes and houses you are going to face off against, and they all happen to share the same colors, you can't pick which class will be good.

I do best with spellsword. Both endurance and willpower have lots of ways to heal, block damage, remove threats and both have good all round options. I hate having few healing options or guards in arena because they really come in handy.

That works well for me but others prefer a different class. You might end up doing better with something completely different as it just fits your style.

in all games. certain sides have a advantage n the arena. which classes have the biggest win rate? i don't play arena. i have been saving up the free tickets for some reason. seems the expansoin is a really good reason.

i have found out rally seems realy strong in the arena. i havn't used it in rank/casual.

In Solo I know that Endurance is really good. You want to get good value creatures out against the AI that can take a few hits. You also want a pretty low curve, so lots of cheap but effective creatures are good. You want to draft for pretty aggro heavy games, as the AI pretty much always tries to go face. Beefy guards, some Prophecies, and value/tempo plays. Spellsword, Sorc, Monk are all pretty good.

I don't play Vs. a whole lot, and not at all since HoM dropped. I would probably avoid the tri-color decks if you can, just because it will really dilute your card choices. Decks here tend to be more aggro too (easier to build for than trying to get all your control pieces in a draft), but not nearly as much so as Solo Arena. Vs. is more about playing something you're comfortable with, as class doesn't determine win rate at all.

In my experience with Arena, pretty much "anything with Red in it" is the best option, Battlemage foremost among them. The nature of Arena is such that combos are nearly impossible (every once in a while you can draft a meme-worthy OTK deck, but that is super-rare and not even worth thinking about), and playing Control is an inherently dicey proposition because Control relies on being able to curve out, plan ahead, etc... all rather hard to do in a draft format.

Thus, the meta in Arena tends to be aggressive, and it's in your best interests to just go with that. I've had several 7-1 and 7-0 Arena runs, even at the highest level, just by playing aggro and knowing how to game the lanes, making fundamentally sound trades, and timing rune breaks properly. Very, very basic stuff wins much more than anything else there.
