The Elder Scrolls: Legends

The Elder Scrolls: Legends

This or Eternal?
I'm really trying to find a new CCG to get into that I will like.

In the past I've spent time w/ M&M DoC, IW, and Solforge (all dead) ..I also like Ascension. I'm not a huge fan of the Hearthstone style CCG's.

I'm currently giving Eternal a go but I'm still undecided on it...I don't really like to invest time and/or money into a lot of CCG's at once so I want to focus on one or the other.

What do people feel about this game vs Eternal which do you like better?

I play both, and like them both, but if I could only pick one, well... it depends on how you like to game.

Eternal is basically Magic the Gathering, but takes one step toward Hearthstone (particularly in the art style), and plays better on mobile, IMO.

This game, on the other hand, starts at the Hearthstone end of the pool, and takes one step toward Magic. Looks and feels much better on PC.

So, if you aren't a fan of Hearthstone's style of play, Eternal might be more the right game for you--but this one does *significantly* improve upon that model, so I'd at least give this a whirl if I were you, and see if their spin on it appeals to you more (sometimes it almost feels deliberately targeted at people who used to like Hearthstone, but were inevitably turned off by its substantial flaws).

Eternal was my main game for some time, but when you understand how much RNG it has due to a large 75 card deck and inconsistent mana flow, you won’t enjoy any victory.
ESL has better companies and introduces a number of improvements to the standard Magic mechanics which were pointlessly cloned by Eternal.

I look at both game threads and reviews. Eternal never scored more than mixed reviews, meaning around a 50% to 60% good scoring. But ESL have scored very positive since the start of the game. Exception, of a 1 month bad reviews when they change the developper. But now, the game is fully back on track, as most of the bugs have been resolved and repaired. And, it will get very positve reviews again! ESL is the best card game on the market right now. And, the only card game that might equal it, or beat it, will be Valve Artefact card game, that will go out soon. But valve Artefact will have to make their proof 1st. And this is not done yet! :) But, I have a feeling, that Valve Artefact will be more a pay to win hearthstone kind of game, than a ESL free to play kind of game. But, I can be wrong on that assessment. :)

semi disagree. if review comes from someone with alot of hours. look at it, but if someone has .5 hours it's a joke.

Both are free to play, so give them both a shot and see which one you like. 🎃👍

I can't compare them as I haven't tried Eternal yet (I play a ton of MtG so if I wanted something like it I'd just play it).

Having said that Legends is a fine game and there's a lot of fun to be had in it. It is also inexpensive to free and the people who scream P2W don't seem to understand that spending money doesn't make you any better at the game it just fills out your collection faster.

So someone that tries to win via their wallet is going to grow their collection faster than they increase their skill and is going to have a similar win rate to someone who spent nothing.

I'm not currently playing Legends as something about it's current release causes me eye strain headaches but I plan on coming back in some months.

got 2000 hours on Eternal. Not a bad game but this is better. It got really annoying with some of its mechanics. Finally got perma burned out on it.

Yeah, but people can change a review at any time... which is fine except if there is one change suddenly everyone changes it to negative (including people with hundreds, if not thousands, of hours) and then never plays again to possibly change it back.

Steam reviews are complete ♥♥♥♥.
