Werewolf cards?
Are they good ? I have enough gold to buy the starter werewolf deck but I don't want to waste soul gems and gold.

My gut tells me they are not very good other than may a couple you would use similarly to the executioner. The requirement of breaking a rune to trigger their transformation is a nice one, but in practice makes them a bit hard to use in more circumstances than you benefit from when they do get the trigger.

Thanks. That is what I was worried about :(

The cards are mediocre untill a rune breaks but if you lose board control even a little then they seem like they would have a really hard time.

They seem pretty good in a warrior/aggro type deck I've heard. I haven't played with them enough myself yet to try. They definitely aren't worth it if you aren't breaking runes fairly early though, since they are cost inefficient without beastform.

And that's part of the problem, once you've broken some runes playing out more doesn't help much as you either are giong to win anyway, or the opponent has stabalized and you won't be breaking more runes.

I haven't played them, but a lot of people in the 4-6 rank are running werewolf decks, so I've faced a bunch. On the pro side, they are cheap, and it's easy to get an early advantage by breaking a rune to upgrade 2 or 3 creatures at once. On the con side, their abilities diminish as the game goes on, and they are pretty straight-forward to counter, provided your deck has the right mix.

But the werewolf cards could be fantastic additions to some agressive decks.

there good if you like aggro. it's basically all rng whether you win or lose though. i lost earlier to one but it was only because they just randomly drew a perfect set up of werewolfs that buffed each other and it was over on turn 4. i dont like aggro in this game because its pretty reliant on good draw combined with the other person getting horrible draw.

The only one that I've seen and really liked so far is the Grim Shield-Brother, but that's because it's a 3 drop that ends up with Drain in Endurance. The others seem more like "win-more" for aggro decks. I still wouldn't mind making a solid Werewolf Warrior type deck for messing around in Casual though; I'm a sucker for theme decks.
