The Elder Scrolls: Legends

Tips for begginers and F2P
I've been playing as a F2P since open beta, and so far I could buy everything with ingame gold (packs, arena, expansions, stories...). I'm throwing some tips for new players, usefull for anyone so you to grind faster:
- Don't buy packs, solo and versus arena are a way better investment for your gold. It easily pays itself with 2~3 wins, and beyond that is pure profit.
- Don't bother playing casual. Prioritize playing ranked, since you cant lose ranks and you earn sweet rewards at the end of the month depending where you are on the ladder.
- If you want to test a new deck or grind some shards to craft cards, hit the practice mode. You get shards for every win (up to 300/day), the games are really quick and the AI sometimes missplays and give you the win.
- If you dont care about premium cards, you can soul trap them for a good amount of soul shards.
- Avoid crafting rares and commons, since they're very easy to come by after some time. Save your shards for epics and legendaries that are core to some decks or can be used in multiple decks. There are some crafting guides on youtube that I highly recommend.
- If you craft some card and then get more, avoid soul trapping them. When nerfs occour, you get full value on disenchanting nerfed cards, but only IF you crafted them.

Beyond that, I can suggest a lot of resourse material so you can improve yourself on the game and stay up to date to the metagame. There is always news and discussions on Reddit, really usefull strategy guides and tips on Between the Lanes[betweenthelanes.net], good decks and guides on Legends Decks[www.legends-decks.com] and a ton of content creators on Youtube and streamers on Twitch (CVH, Charm3r, Dazer, Justin Larson, etc).

Hope this helps all the new players. Cya on the ladder!

One question. Are the rewards for solo and multiplayer arena the same?

nope it is not. Solo arena rewards are meh.

No, solo arena rewards are less because it's easier. A lot of people prefer it though since the rewards are still well worth the 150g entry and once you have a grip on the game you can consistently get 9 wins.

Versus arena can yield really good rewards at 7 wins, but you obviously have to beat 7 other players trying to do the same thing, making it a lot harder.
Is the avatar important?
Especially at the beginning I get more level ups, should I "choose wisely" which avatar to take or is it not that important?
One correction. You do lose ranks if you lose too much rankeds. At least thats how it worked for me a few months ago, not sure if they changed this.
You never have lost ranks through losing games.
ONly way to lose ranks is and of season rank reset.
You do lose stars in a rank though: https://bethesda.net/community/topic/449/basic-information-about-ranked-play

Yes it is. At certain levels you get a rewad based on your avatar. Here's the rewards list for leveling up:

Solo arena rewards less, but is still worth it, specially for newer players.Since it is somewhat easier than versus arena, it's a very good "training ground" for learning the game mechanics, new cards and combos.
On versus you'll be matched against people on the same "arena rank", so it's a good idea to have previous experience on solo arena (specially on the drafting process).

Do you think it's worth buying the expansion story for 3000g?
In general yes. You get a playset of 3 cards for 34 cards + 6 unique legendary cards.

You have to be aware, that you have to play through each of the 3 maps in order to get all of the cards, as they unlock after each and every oppponent you beat.
Some of them might be challenging for new players with not too many cards, but overall doable.
Is there a way to reset my account and start over? I got some racial rewards before I knew that avatar choice was important.
As far as I know there is not.
At leats when the game was "only" available through Bethesda launcher there was no way to do it.

This might have changed through Steam though, but I´m not sure about this.

Solo arena or save and buy expansion?

You can't reset your progress, but you can make a new bethesda account and start over. To use the new bethesda acc with your steam acc, you unlink the steam account from the unwanted one by logging in your old bethesda acc on bethesda.net (top right on the screen) > then click in your nickname (same place) > Linked Accounts menu (left) > Answer your security question > Unlink steam account. Next time you start Legends you'll be able to login or create the new BT acc.
Hope it helps.

FotDB > Madhouse Collection > Versus arena > Solo Arena > Packs

IMO you should save for the expansions, specially the FotDB before anything else, but be warned: the story it is quite hard if you have a small collection. Solo arena is sort of an investment for your collection, but usually isn't a good way to farm gold because of draft RNG and other variables. The cards from the FotDB are essentials, and from the Madhouse Collection are just nice to get when you can spare the gold.
