nope it is not. Solo arena rewards are meh.
No, solo arena rewards are less because it's easier. A lot of people prefer it though since the rewards are still well worth the 150g entry and once you have a grip on the game you can consistently get 9 wins.
Versus arena can yield really good rewards at 7 wins, but you obviously have to beat 7 other players trying to do the same thing, making it a lot harder.
Especially at the beginning I get more level ups, should I "choose wisely" which avatar to take or is it not that important?
ONly way to lose ranks is and of season rank reset.
You do lose stars in a rank though: https://bethesda.net/community/topic/449/basic-information-about-ranked-play

Solo arena rewards less, but is still worth it, specially for newer players.Since it is somewhat easier than versus arena, it's a very good "training ground" for learning the game mechanics, new cards and combos.
On versus you'll be matched against people on the same "arena rank", so it's a good idea to have previous experience on solo arena (specially on the drafting process).
You have to be aware, that you have to play through each of the 3 maps in order to get all of the cards, as they unlock after each and every oppponent you beat.
Some of them might be challenging for new players with not too many cards, but overall doable.
At leats when the game was "only" available through Bethesda launcher there was no way to do it.
This might have changed through Steam though, but I´m not sure about this.
Also thanks for the answers, Pyrius
Hope it helps.
FotDB > Madhouse Collection > Versus arena > Solo Arena > Packs
IMO you should save for the expansions, specially the FotDB before anything else, but be warned: the story it is quite hard if you have a small collection. Solo arena is sort of an investment for your collection, but usually isn't a good way to farm gold because of draft RNG and other variables. The cards from the FotDB are essentials, and from the Madhouse Collection are just nice to get when you can spare the gold.
Thanks!
