Yeah, i know that, but when you find a Definite set of abilities/Passive buffs that take up all 6 slots, and all the others you collect are useless to You and for all intents and purpouses your allies, they basically just take up space in the box, instead of being able to be Sold for currency or Preserved for refitting your Build upon death( essentially allowing a re-collection of your last build however many times you managed to get the same chips again in 1 Run), giving Combat Chips Decent use upon Obsoletion or Reduncancy, without such use however all effort in collecting them Or keeping them around becomes a waste, Once you've maxed out your Class build of Choice, Especially since no matter how far you got, No Matter how much (*Permenant*) Progress you've made the very moment you die, be it due to carelessness, poor luck, Lagg, or what have you, THEY ALL FECKING VANISH
So Why even have the box with no ability to sell from it or preserve Combat Chips within it?
Unless they're Only meant to be shared with a an ally or possibly used in bartering with other players, giving a Huge Incentive to play with others rather than attempt to enjoy a solo experiance
and even then being able to be Shared with other players means you can have a friend hold onto them for you and help transfer chips to another Chararcter, making an Unnecessary work around to a Stupid problem that Shouldn't Friggan exist
I agree with that entirely. No point to not make the combat chip chest shared between characters when this exists.
also I use a strength and dex character and switch up my chips all the time.
maybe sean made it this way to be more like a rouge and you loose more when you die.
x1 chip = +0 damage.
x2 chips = +1 damage.
x3 chips = +2 damage.
x4 chips = +3 damage.
and so on...
x1 chip = +0 secs duration.
x2 chips = +1 sec duration.
x3 chips = +2 secs duration.
x4 chips = +3 secs duration.
and so on...
x1 chip = +0 shoots. (5 shoots total)
x2 chips = +1 shoots. (6 shoots total)
x3 chips = +2 shoots. (7 shoots total)
x4 chips = +3 shoots. (8 shoots total)
and so on...
x1 chip = +0 vitality. (+15 vitality total)
x2 chips = +1 vitality. (+16 vitality total)
x3 chips = +2 vitality. (+17 vitality total)
x4 chips = +3 vitality. (+18 vitality total)
and so on...
Interesting idea, maybe instead of stacking they just "fuse" into a single chip and improve stats? This would be OP if there wasn't some sort of level cap on it though.
Reduce their power
All chips start at level one.
3x the same chip = Enchant Chip
Enchant chip have 80% chance to increase a chip level by one.
On failure the chip behind enchanted is resets back to level 1.
No level limit on chips.
This. This so much. I don't think people understand what Roguelike means >.>
