The Hell's the point of the Combat Chip box?
I Honestly can't even think of a point to it, Combat Chips placed in it, (Usually when you've run out of slots and have picked your go too abilities) pretty much go to waste, since they Don't stick around after you kick the bucket and you Can't even access them with another Character. So, what the Hell's the point of it's existance? Why not let us just Sell the Combat Chips we don't use anymore since, or make them safely store-able so we can actually save the ones we Worked hard or saved up in hopes of obtaining? it practically makes using Credits to Buy them at safe zones useless and a waste of Currency since one fit of bad luck, or Worse a Sudden lagg spike means Even if you put it in the Combat Chip box it's GONE. I'd love to hear any possible ideas as to it's use besides being a form of taunt to the players who futilily put Combat Chips they used alot into it with the misguided idea that it Might be saved as they ventured to a risky new land

well you know you can just chnage a character chip and stuff to go around with different abilities, thats the point. also you can modify your active ability or things like that and you can still trade chip with other people

Yeah, i know that, but when you find a Definite set of abilities/Passive buffs that take up all 6 slots, and all the others you collect are useless to You and for all intents and purpouses your allies, they basically just take up space in the box, instead of being able to be Sold for currency or Preserved for refitting your Build upon death( essentially allowing a re-collection of your last build however many times you managed to get the same chips again in 1 Run), giving Combat Chips Decent use upon Obsoletion or Reduncancy, without such use however all effort in collecting them Or keeping them around becomes a waste, Once you've maxed out your Class build of Choice, Especially since no matter how far you got, No Matter how much (*Permenant*) Progress you've made the very moment you die, be it due to carelessness, poor luck, Lagg, or what have you, THEY ALL FECKING VANISH

So Why even have the box with no ability to sell from it or preserve Combat Chips within it?

Unless they're Only meant to be shared with a an ally or possibly used in bartering with other players, giving a Huge Incentive to play with others rather than attempt to enjoy a solo experiance

and even then being able to be Shared with other players means you can have a friend hold onto them for you and help transfer chips to another Chararcter, making an Unnecessary work around to a Stupid problem that Shouldn't Friggan exist

Thats the point, the point of it is to store chips you dont need. I do think it should be that you can take them out and code into them or something then get some guy, when its max level, to send it to a character in your roster and that will bring it to lvl one.

personally i change my chips pretty often, changing build. always playing with the same is pretty boring in my point of view.

I agree with that entirely. No point to not make the combat chip chest shared between characters when this exists.

also I use a strength and dex character and switch up my chips all the time.

maybe sean made it this way to be more like a rouge and you loose more when you die.

Could be nice if you could stack them in the shortcut bar to slightly improve the "skill power" :)

Triple shoot
Next attack with a Gun or Cannon will fire 3 projectiles.

x1 chip = +0 damage.
x2 chips = +1 damage.
x3 chips = +2 damage.
x4 chips = +3 damage.
and so on...

Photon Blade
Summon massive blades of energy that rotate around you for 20 seconds.

x1 chip = +0 secs duration.
x2 chips = +1 sec duration.
x3 chips = +2 secs duration.
x4 chips = +3 secs duration.
and so on...

Gadget Turret
Summons a gadget turret at mouse cursor.

x1 chip = +0 shoots. (5 shoots total)
x2 chips = +1 shoots. (6 shoots total)
x3 chips = +2 shoots. (7 shoots total)
x4 chips = +3 shoots. (8 shoots total)
and so on...

Vitality X
+15 Vitality

x1 chip = +0 vitality. (+15 vitality total)
x2 chips = +1 vitality. (+16 vitality total)
x3 chips = +2 vitality. (+17 vitality total)
x4 chips = +3 vitality. (+18 vitality total)
and so on...

Interesting idea, maybe instead of stacking they just "fuse" into a single chip and improve stats? This would be OP if there wasn't some sort of level cap on it though.

All chips start at level one.

3x the same chip = Enchant Chip

Enchant chip have 80% chance to increase a chip level by one.
On failure the chip behind enchanted is resets back to level 1.
No level limit on chips.

Ye would probably turn into a rogue-lite that way, even though this is half rogue-lite

Screw That, Who the Hell wants to waste Finite resources on a Mere Chance, 100% on Enchant should be the way to go, Hell if you already found 3 of the same Why make it a pain to upgrade?
i mean if you want it to be Difficult fine but atleast be Fair here, have an option to pay X amount of credits to ensure a higher Success Percentile making it a Goal oriented Investment, not some Rediculously High risk Low reward Gamble Especially since you can be at level 10, 30 Chips in after Tireless work just to have All of it invalidated because Whoops Random Chance says Go back to level 1, and Worse yet again you could Again have a High level Chip and due to Not being saved when in the box, or able to be traded to your other Characters unless held by a friend All Progress made to level it is For Not Once You DIE

Wow rage much? Look this is Roguelands, predecessor to Magicite, where permadeath is a REAL THING! Yeah it definately SUCKS when you lose a great chacter build due to bad luck, not paying attention, lag, whatever but that's part of the game. That's part of what makes this game enjoyable!! If you don't like the challenge of trying REALLY hard not to die and the consquences of dying then this isn't the game for you! I know Sean has some things that persist in permadeath but I think combat chips would be an early game breaker. Image having 6 Attribute X chips!! No fun in the early game! It's like having the 4th age armor right away..... Gets no fun after a while.
