Best Ultimate Weapon for Each Class?
What do you think is the best ultimate weapon, or weapon for each class and why?

I generally go by a weapons DPS & usefulness paired with the correct character build to maximize it.

My picks are

Swords: Excalibur (hard choice most swords are bad. Could pick anything really)
Lance: Dragoon (Massive damage out put)
Guns: Cataclysm (Multiplier on dex)
Cannons: War-Forged Gun (best weapon in the game. Nothing comes close to it's dps)
Gauntlets: Edit: Airsplitter seems bugged. Banana wins.
Staffs: Caster Sword (Double projectile= attack x2)

Yep. I Try use Machine with ~1500 damage per shot (3 shot with ~600, 450 and 450 dmg), but even first level boss on arena easy kill me by his spawns. With Forsaker mask caster, lvl 1 boss die after 10 sec :) 10 Quadrocopters on each side and beam-beam-beam :)

P.S. For unlocking Forsaker mask u must reach level 100 in Ironman mode.

And you forgot one thing betwen banana and the airspliter is critical a critical build is more efficient on banana.

For banana how? The math works out in airsplitters favor critical don't really change anything since it can be applied to both. What do you mean? does air splitters crits not apply to all 3 projectiles?

Nm just tried it. Crits don't even seem to apply to air splitter. Seems like it's bugged.

As for war forged gun, Tested it out. Carbine+Ata Eye doesn't even come close. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=706088175

carbine maxed out+ ata eys and crit will only do around 2000+ damage. War forged gun goes past that with just 4 grenades. Their are several weapons that beat out carbine.

Look like you were right so the war forged gun is the best canon weapons. :steamhappy:

yes. I use projectile range on my build for flameswathe to keep it out longer so it can hit more. It's really just like caster sword damage wise.

cool, i think i'll start on a build for the flameswathe if i ever die with my missile RPG build :)

for the caster sword, i think you should mention that focusing on str with that weapon makes it better since it's fth/4 + str/2. now if only crit damage applied to that weapon......

edit: i guess the same can be said for any staff that utilizes a stat/2 since it seems like most fth stats in ultimate staves are scaled by /4

Crit damage doesnt apply?

Well i have 30/30 crit damage xD
Depends on what build you're doing. I'm making a Helswath for my build, strictly because of the Vit+Str damage scaling.

at least from my experience with it, crit damage doesn't apply to caster sword. my guess is that it was done on purpose though to prevent it from being too op

That sucks
I wish there was a way to remove mods

yea i currently have a helswathe build but want to make another one with the hero uniform (+5 crit chance). with maxed crit chance mods it should come up to be around 45% crit chance (5% crit chance base + 5% crit chance from hero uniform + 35% crit chance mods). add on the projectile mods and crit damage and you've got one of the best builds in game imo.

Yeah I have a fully leveled legendary ragnarok for my Helswath. I'm still deciding on the mods I want to use though, definitely +30 Vit/Str, but no clue for my last one.
I'd honestly go for Enigma(staff). It heals you if it passes by you. Which is pretty useful imo.

Just did this. Crits don't work on it or air splitter. Caster sword is a ♥♥♥♥ version of flameswathe because of this. It is ok if you want to play a healing character and use faith based chips.

I've tried a few different staves.... Darkness is great late game, cause if you run at half health you can deal 350 damage per shot and that's on top of whatever damage it deals by itself, and then you can hit multiple enemies, or hit the same enemy twice....

But the best staff by far I have found is sage's staff. It does faith/4 + vit. Straight vit, no division. Which after the hp nerf, you almost have to do a vit build. But what makes it so amazing is the projectile speed. On a normal staff, you can hit an enemy twice, maybe four times if you are clever, and you need to be right on top of them for that, and over a decent period of time. WIth the sage staff you always get the four times from the other side of the map very quickly, often being able to go on to the next enemy. But not only that but because of the increased projectile speed you don't have to be clever with it, you just shoot and hold on the target and each shot hits more often than with slower staves. Most enemies die from just one shot, and once you get up to three even bosses just die off. Stuff just melts.

The one downside is that it uses mana. You can still fire with 0 mana, but you will stay that way unless you stop to drink a potion... so no combat chips. On the other hand, if there's still anything left in the time it would take you to drink a potion and use the combat chip, you are doing it wrong.
