Mods or Steam Workshop

Note: I'm not writing this discussion to say that the game NEEDS more content through mods and that the creators of the game are lacking in content because that is absolutely not the case. I for one love this game down to it's source code and I can honestly play it for hours, as I have before.
Ok so basically what I'm trying to get at is that as a young, creative, and extremely open minded person, I've always loved modding video games and I would really enjoy if Roguelands had mods, mod support, a mod loader thats completely open to public, or a Steam Workshop page of its very own for everyone to create at will. I created my own terraria mod where I added in a ton of extra weapons that reference other games and such just to mess around, but with roguelands i'm inspired to do even more. The problem is, roguelands source code isn't open and I can't find a single modding tutorial or guide anywhere for it (Most likely because this game is freaking amazing so no one really cares to mod it) so I was wondering if anyone who has the ability to do such things (Or basically knows of a loader for roguelands similar to a program such as TmodLoader for Terraria that I could load edited coding and added coding into roguelands) if they would want to maybe team up and create one Hell of a mod. I can do a bit of coding if I have the original code to go off of, for example if I had the coding for the aetherblade and wanted to make a sword I would load the coding for the aetherblade, change the crafting recipe, change where to find the file for the weapon image and change the display name for the weapon into something new, which includes me designing the weapon and getting some balanced stats for it but my main focus is honestly getting in some cool looking weapons and who knows maybe even helping a better modder make a whole new storyline. And again I'm not desiring a mod because I think the game lacks because it doesn't and anyone who thinks so, well, you're entitled to your own opinion.

Um, actually I think most everybody does, or just suggest it in the game suggestions where it should have a higher chance of being read (don't ask me why)

Fine. He personally reads through the suggestions because they are suggestions and it is easier and mroe convenient than emails
