Wich units are considered large?
For some units it's pretty obvious that they are considered as large ones, but I'm notsure for others. For example i don't know if Chaos Warhounds, Dire Wolves, Squigs/ Squighopperz, the Spieder Hatchlings from the Arachnarok Queen, Spider Riderz and Wolf Riderz are considered as large units. If you know it please let me know.

Gobbo cav are considered large I believe. Anything mounted are. I'm not too sure about the hatchlings. Warhounds aren't large. Only monstrous. Squigs probably as well.

Squig herd: small
Squig hoppers: large
Spider hatchling: nothing, apperantly
Spider riders: also nothing
Wolf riders: large
Anything larger than a human (cav, monsters, etc.) should be counted as large.

Not everything, a lot of stuff isn't actually large even though it looks like it

Then the ingame explanations are just a bunch of crap

Some clarification would be good. They descriptions aren't the best. And trying to find out what all the bonuses on a units Stat card in the index sucks

Yeah, pretty much. Its accurate most of the time but there are some weird ones.

They really need to just put what units are on their unit cards. Like in brackets next to unit type. Flying Monstrous Infantry (Large) even the word infantry may lead you to believe a bonus vs infantry would work against them.

Absolutely agree.

Any unit bigger than infantry its large, like cav, monsters, giants, chariots, spiders and boards, gyrocopters, steam tank, fliying units...

Not always.

If you want to know for sure, get PFM, open up data.pack, locate 'land_units_table' and check for the column 'ground_stat_effect_group'.
But Spitfire is right, with maybe some minor exceptions, like spider cavalry, which is counted as 'uhm' nothing :D
Else there are 4 groups - small, large, large_beast & ethereal - assumingly the latter is special and since they usually have 80% melee (!!! and not missile) resistance the bonus against those doesn't matter anyway.
