Squigs OP??

Every once in awhile,mainly for cinimatic replays later, I will put all my lords and heros on horses and chose all high tier calvery. Then just smash into their lines, before cycle charging until they inevitably beat me.

I've done this quite a bit and I'm not sure I have ever actually won.. or maybe I have once or twice but have had very,very little actual success with swarm armies like that.


I tried it with swig herds (+the arachnid queen) though...and have walked over my first 4 or 5 opponents... it hasn't really been close..

Ok so 2 questions..

1) are squigs OP for their 500 gold price tag??

2) would y'all consider that a "cheese build" and or abusing game mechanics?

You should check out Legend of
Total War's videos. He did am army build of nothing but squigs and a zag on a wyvern. He uses is specifically to deal with dwarfs

I have smashed every faction i have faced so far... that said i havent faced anyone with alot of anti large yet..but the normal amount (3 or 4 units) cant stop it...


i'm pretty good with almost 800 hours into the game, but it feels like it is cheating lol.

Squig herds aren't large units.

Nice. So they are only countered by charge vs all..

I have been ify to try it against britonia but they might eat them.

The big thing is though that any anti large bonuses don't apply to squig herds. Suprisingly enough things like greatswords would be far more effective vs them.

It was his endurance video. ( battle till defeated) he uses mass squig armies against Dawi players.
