- handgunners
- artillery (cannons or helblaster volley guns or a luminark)
- a fire wizard can help a lot vs. Norsca generally, surround him with halberds and then drop a Flaming Sword of Rhuin on your halberdiers, then hit Throgg with a fireball, he won't like that too much
- or if you have Balthasar, beat him down with final transmutations
- witch hunter with accusation can help
- or you can have Franz and a flying-mounted hero or two gang up on Throgg a bit, Franz with full kit can hit pretty hard, and you can just charge and withdraw and charge and withdraw
Some combination of that should help. I don't know what happened with your demigryphs but I don't know that I've ever tried using them to charge directly into charging trolls
I was just surprised that level 6 and 7 great cannons didn't do a whole lot and even focusing him with triple level 6 helblasters didn't do a whole lot, so i was surprised. Fire wizards is probably a good shout, i hadn't got any in this campaign as i did so well with bright wizards in the last.
I just got pretty flustered Throgg managed to solo half an army of anti-large melee units in my previous battle even after taking all that artillery fire. But the luminark and steam tank seemed to have a serious edge on him.
