Mirror Guards worse than choosen?.

hmm seems a bit wierd that mirror guards which is by definition the super elite of the choosens, marked by slaanish as part of his top elite, has worse stats generally than a base choosen and more models. should be the other way around :/
doesn't make sense at all...

guess we have to rely on Steel Faith mod to get those last tweaks to give that cool lore feel in combat (as well as the tweaks for proper balance between core, rare and elite units. meaning much fewer cheesy builds abusing balance issues between them) ^^

They're not Chosen, and they're not marked by the Gods.

They're warriors with highly-polished shields whose entire purpose is to stand around Sigvald so he can admire how pretty he looks while he fights.

my mistake then.
i assumed as the bodyguards of sigvald they would be choosen, especially if they got special treatment from slaanish.

i still find it wierd that they have so high model counts ^^
and still wish for a steel faith mod to fix up the general balance setup (enjoy it far more as units seems to fit their purpose better).

Skinwolves are fantastic. They're a really well-themed method for dealing with cavalry-heavy armies. No more standing around with spearmen.

Skinwolves are great in many ways yes. I am so happy that they perform well. Was afraid they may flop and just be a okeish flanking unit.

Love the new norsca monsters too. Mostly Femirs, Mammoths and Skin Wolves.

I honestly was hoping they'd be Chosen or even Aspiring Champions as a base. Since they're Chaos Warriors I just end up replacing them in the late game. It's not even worth it to have more than 1-2 Chaos armies anyways as that's all you need to win the campaign in a timely fashion, so they end up being full of elites eventually.

They're supposed to be Sigvalds best men that are his closest bodyguards. They really should've been on par with Chosen at the very least. Smaller unit size would've made more sense for a handpicked bodyguard unit too.

Their description is that they're his "elite bodyguard" which would make them amongst the strongest men in the Decadent Host. The Decadent Host almost certainly has some Chosen in it and also Aspiring Champions; so it only stands to reason his elite bodyguard would be pulled from those ranks, not regular Warriors.

We're talking about the chosen son of Slaanesh. Why WOULDN'T his closest bodyguards be Chosen of Slaanesh as well? The Prince of Pleasure loves spoiling his boy.

i haven't read all the lore myself so i rely on the nerd kings to bring me the info on these things ;)

i thought they where choosen too, why i made the thread, as if they are the bodyguard to one of the blessed lords of a chaos god i assumed they would be the highest quality possible ^^

I'm not too worried about it. It's an easy fix for a mod when I get around to playing a new Sigvald campaign.

At first they did, but then a few too many made the mistake of stealing Sigvald's thunder, so now he's intentionally given the derpy ones who are less useful elsewhere to begin with and less likely to killsteal from Mister Magnificent.
