I followed Btad's advice to just end the turn straight away (hammering the 'enter' key to accept all dialogues and start new turn). Mine cycles to the next turn but again, sends me to the strategic map, over 'empire'. By tabbing out of the strat map, I can see the comp thinks it's Empires turn, but I can't select anything or even move the camera....
EDIT: I tried 'reloading' again, but had the option to reload the autosave from the turn I spammed 'enter' through... On reloading, it no longer took me to the strat map and halted the game; enabling me to continue the faceroll of the campaign...
Really disappointed with the AI, dumbed down battle controls, childish campaign mechanics and what appears to be a lack of QA... If you read this CA, please contact me, I'll QA your stuff for free if it goes towards restoring the 'total war' name... The game is a disgrace to the title... Which is a shame because I want to love it...
By turn 74 Chaos Legion got wiped and as Vampire Lord I can't pass turn.
The tab map opens as if it would trigger diplomatic dialogue with another faction, but nothing happens.
I press escape to toggle off the map world (because no other way to disable it than to press esc.) and I am stuck in my turn.
I am wondering if Empire didn't trigger short campaign victory conditions thus locking the game.
This was my conclusion, read above for how to fix it by 'skipping' your turn and ending it. Then, reloading the autosave after it sticks again when it tries to give empire it's winning cut scene.
Worked for me and others.
Previous turn everything works fine (including when I reload to that turn).
At the start of Turn 99 the game flicks immediately to Strategic view and selects the Empire marker. Have to use Esc key to go to campaign map. Unable to Save, bring up advisor, or move armies.
If 2 turns isn't enough, do it for 3 turns, it should fix it (worked in my case).
Downside is, you can't play for 1-2 turns.
If you are blocked at turn 74: you need to do that at turn 73, in order to jump to turn 75 or 76.
