For people stuck downloading patch at 98% (100/101 mb)

Here's what I saw:

1. Stuck at 98% for over an hour
2. High disk usage within the steam app itself on the download tab
3. slowly vanishing space on harddrive

What I did:

1. Open up a disk monitoring tool (WinDirStat)
2. Notice that ..\steam\steamapp\downloading is slowly increasing in size
3. Folder used up nearly 18gb "downloading" but there was no internet traffic
4. Waited nearly 2 hours, install finally finished

I have a 128 gb SSD as my main and the game runs very quickly (2-5 second loading times). I believe that the steam program/tw:w installer is having to "unpack" almost the entire game folder WITHIN the downloading folder, apply the updated files, then overwrite the existing game folder files with the files from "Downloading"

I have never seen a Steam game, or any game for that matter, that required this seemingly highly unnecessary and cumbersome installation method.

For people that simply can't complete the patch, it appears that you MUST HAVE ~20gb FREE to complete the installation!!!

Furthermore, there's been a "suggested fix" of deleting some key log files and the preferences file.. that would never fix this situation whatsoever, and appears to be more for people who cannot get the Total War Launcher to appear.

I have this issue now. More than enough space and the download just times out eventually. There has got to be a fix for this that works.
