Game not starting
I can't get the game to start, even the launcher refuses to start. I've successfully run the game on this machine in the past, reinstalled and verified game files. What should I do?

Hey, Zakvadr, have you tried what Scarecrow suggested? I was having issues, even uninstalled-reinstalled as you did, and deleting the scripts folder worked for me....

Now if I can only figure out why the hell my comp freezes whenever I exit the game, or why it uninstalls some files after I play sometimes (it will ask me for my password, and then install saying something like "verifying current installed files) then I will be happy. Some weird glitches in this game when it comes to launching or exiting. BTW those issues existed BEFORE I deleted scripts, so that isnt what caused them...Been like that since Brettonia came out, actually. Before that the game ran , started, and exited flawlessly.

Nothing above worked for me, but this did. All these steps may not be needed, but it is what I did. Also, my saves were fine, I'm assuming because of steam cloud, but if you have a campaign going, you may want to back them up just in case.
1. Uninstall Total War: Warhammer
2. Delete the entire The Creative Assembly folder in Appdata/roaming folder
3. Delete the Total War: Warhammer folder in program files/Steam/Steamapps/common folder
4. Reinstall Total War: Warhammer
5. Exit Steam and restart computer.
6. Login to Steam and Launch Total War: Warhammer.

Hope this helps.

Reinstalling doesnt work because when you Uninstall your "preferences.txt file is still saved: in Winblows its in the hidden "AppData"" folder, in linux itll be in: /home/klotho/.local/share/feral-interactive/Total War Warhammer
Solution is to remove that feral-interactive folder entirely, btw if your running Archlinux you may need the "env" fix, if so feel free to ask me for it :)

What is the arch env fix? Deleted the whole folder so what else must be done?

So I "fixed" the game not starting by enabling beta patches and switching back to normal. Btw it´s not a good idea to link your launchers with google servers. I couldn´t start the game because the launcher doesn´t show up while blocking google connections. Show some love for linux and privacy concered people! You already earned money because we bought your games.
