Finally. A worthy successor of Dark Omen !

Damm it. I thought it will never happen. I loved Dark Omen and Shadow of the horned Rat.
Not sure how often i played mission one of Dark Omen just to suffer not to much causaulties and to get the right army the experience.
I hope that this will be worthy, cross fingers.

Warhammer Dark Omen 1998. (Mindscape)
Old. Very old. But...from my perspective, with the SOUL of a real Warhammer Game.
Pretty great combat engine, perfect army management over the campain, but also really really hard.
Still remember Morgan Bernhardt, the commander.

Dark omen was one of my favs, I liked the view of the warhammer world from a mercenary army perspective. The lack of base building but inclusion of xp and resource management was nice, for what it was worth the mark of chaos game was the successor to dark omen.
This should be a great total war and warhammer game, wonder if it will include mercenary armies or any nod to the dark omen/shadow of the horned rat games.

Dark Omen was pretty nice, I remember more of Shadow of the horned rat personally.
It Would really be nice to see the same intro done to modern standards. Uhhhh..... WAAAAAARPSTOOOOOOOONEE....
Really would be nice to have more Skaven lyrics around. Dark Omens intro with morslib(the dark moon) and the raised dead was well done to, but lacked Skaven quotes.

Exactly, and i have to admit, the game was damm hard. I think i played the last mission 40 times before i was succesfull, only because the mummie enemies routed.
Based on todays playing standards its damm to hard.
Nevertheless, the artwork, the overall design, the great voiceacting, the story, a real shining example. I hope we will get a good game based on the new engine.

Unfortunately, no version availalbe via GOG.com, only Shadow of the Horned Rat is distributed via GOG.

Not long ago (1 year or so.) I've run some psx games on my pc, on win 8.1 64 bits.
Try to find a emulator that will convert the codecs to something that pc would recognize, perhaps youtube can give you a better hint, since I've unistalled mine.

Battle March just added a Greenskin Campaign and the Dark Elves so unless you really like either of those you didn't miss much.
