I don't get why i have to hear a, although fictional, copy of renaissance Germans butchering german Names left and right. Really the Empire seems so German you could argue Games Workshop just took it and thought "how about they would be in a fantasy Universe?". Even in-lore they speak German.

A lot of germans speak english, but he is right why can't they have it another language, why only english. Sorry, but without the german language places like Schwarzhafen, Karl Franz or Altdorf wouldn't exist in Warhammer. The irony is big in the fact alone they have german names, but no german voiceover or other languages. So no need to degrade the german language as not needed.

Sarcasm and the fact that the english voiceovers typically *are* are better aside...all other TW games had proper german voiceover and text. So there was neither a way to anticipate this, nor are demands for a good localization unreasonable. ;)

Klar ist das korrekt...sehr korrekt sogar. Manche englischen Begriffe, vor allem im Bereich Gaming (haha :D) haben sich aber bereits mehr oder weniger etabliert und die "Quest" gehört definitiv dazu.

Man muss auch ein bedenken, was das Wort im Kontext bedeuten soll. Es ist keine schnöde Aufgabe, sondern eher ein Abenteuer, eine Unternehmung etc...eben eine Quest. ;)

Völlig einleuchtend ich verstehe deinen standpunkt auch :D

Ich denke sie haben es so übersetzt um es einer breiteren altersklasse zugänglich zu machen. Warhammer kennt ja nun wirklich fast jeder und der ein oder andere ältere herr (oder dame) wüsste evtl nicht was eine quest ist.

Dafür gibts zwar auch etliche gute gegenargumente aber anders könnte ich es mir nicht erklären^^

Edit: oder halt für die hardcore casuals.

Im prinzip ist Quest im deutschen problemlos anwendbar im kontext einer langen suche/aufgabe und wurde schon ziemlich lange vorallem im religiösen kontext verwendet. Wenn dann sind es eher jüngere casual gamer ja^^

Wobei "Szenarios" es auch problemlos umgesetzt hätte
