Greenskins using currency?
So after watching the campaign walkthrough for the Greenskins, and also with the understanding that the game is still in heavy development, and subject to change, let me put this out, mainly directed to the developers.

I noticed that the Greenskins seem to be using gold as a currency. Which is odd, to say the least.

With a unique tech tree, and other unique mechanics tied to each faction, why not go all the way and have a go at the economics of the game for each faction?

Empire/Dwarfs - Use gold.

Chaos/Greenskins - Use labour.

Want to build a Big Boyz barracks? Well, it makes more sense for the Greenskins to use labour as a currency which is a catch-all term for slaves/goblin workers, without the need to upset anyone who may find such a term offensive.

I noticed on the video that at one point, it listed Campaign Effects: Sacking income +5. Well, why not turn that on its head for the Greenskins, and instead have +5 labour.

I can't see this being a big thing to work into the game. Even if it was a name change on the interface, I'd be happy enough.

I wouldn't mind the Orc currency being Gobbos. You need a barrack? Fine, but at least 200 Goblins are gonna die while trying to hammer the pieces together.

They should use teeth instead of gold, thats what the orcs and goblins use as currency.

Teef indeed.

Message board clowns is your new catch phrase then, is it? Nice. Get it tattooed on your forehead and then go stamp that on a brick wall.

This. It is like these message board clowns come in here and point out things that are wrong without having the foggiest idea of what it aught to look like nor even good ideas to add just complaints and worries.
Bad Chicken!!!

Is it a catch phrase? I don't think you are using that term correctly. Regardless I'll take a pass on the tattoo. Got any other PoS ideas to go along with that little rubbery red nose?

It's exactly a catch phrase. You've said it multiple times now.
PoS? I thought it was a great idea, but if it's not for you then how about you try DRINKING BLEACH.

Go crawl up the hole that you came from. If it wasn't for me starting this discussion, then the idea of it wouldn't get floated around.

And the notion of orc teeth as a currency is more in-line with 40k, not fantasy. This notion was born on 4 chan by some user.

But I certainly like the idea of teeth more than anything else.

I'd just look at it as an abstraction; it's not representing actual currency, but a wide variety of available resources - wood, metal, labour, gobbo slaves, teef, etc. That's how I always see the resource system in any strategy game, really. Dawn of War 1 was the only one that I felt was less abstracted than the others; armies were requisitioning troops and equipment, not buying them.

I like the way you think.

catch phrase

A phrase in wide or popular use, especially one serving as a slogan for a group or movement.

I am the only one saying it which means it is not being used widely is not popular nor is it a slogan for any groups or movements I have ever heard of as I do not claim to represent anyone but myself. So you're STILL wrong. Technically.Literally.Specifically and in general.

I thought about drinking bleach but that seems to be just as stupid as your previous ideas so.....No. I mean thanks but no thanks.

That's the joke, mate. Because you're going doggedly on that clown related bent. So I'm referring to it as a catch-phrase as a method of ridicule. I'm not literally claiming it's an actual proper catch phrase.
What I'm literally claiming, is that you're a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot.

I play a lot of tabletop RPGs - the mechanics in those are pretty heavily abstracted. The 40k ones (all but the 1st edition of Dark Heresy, at least) all use a heavily-abstracted system in place of real currency; Rogue Trader, for example, just has you make a test against the crew's Profit Factor when buying something (since Rogue Traders are so stupidly-wealthy that they need an entire army of accountants to keep track of it all).

So you are intentionally misusing the word for some kind of a lark then trying to correct me for explaining to you what the word actually means. It is pretty clear you are confused about what idiocy is as well. Do you need me to clear that up for you also? In any case you remain incorrect: Technically.Literally.Specifically and in general.

Nah, mate, that is not how it works at all. You're trolling hard, or maybe your knickers are still in a twist about your grandfather and the nazi gas. Either way though, I'm entertained because I know I'm just flat better than you.

Just report and ignore R.I.P Red. All he does is trying to derail every thread on this discussion board.

They did say the UI had aspects of it unfinished, I'm hoping for Orcs that means they'll change "gold" to "teeth" and change the icon as well.

I mean, that's all they would need to do. Otherwise it's still a type of currency, just like they call the currency something different in every TW game.
