VC have the most flying units.
Empire has some decent light horse units.
So it really just depends on how you build certain armies. My guess is that it will be up in the air until the skaven or elf factions are released.
None of the current factions are really known for their speed.
Am going to ignore dlc hate...
Very true about the orcs. Then again VC can also replenish their troops extremely fast. Might not be mobile in a sense, but they can probably attack armies/cities crazy fast. Thing is they suffer if you havent spread vampiric corruption.
Empire likewise suffers from harsh envirnoments.
Orcs from infighting.
Dwarfs i am not too sure.
They do have excellent cavalry units, but arent playable yet :(
We can only hope.
I'm gonna have to go with Empire. Pistoliers and Outriders are pretty fast and have solid ranged attacks, like Revolver/Carbine Cavalry in Fall of the Samurai. Their infantry is probably about average in speed. Vampire Counts are slower across the board in basic infantry, but their Dire Wolves and Fell Bats are fast and good for flanking or distracting, and Hexwraiths are ethereal light cavalry and likely pack a mean punch. Flying units like the Vargheist can also be powerful as they soar over that spear wall to smash the gunners on the other side. However my final vote would have to be for Empire, you can get a variant of Outriders that have Grenade Launchers giving them a varied light cavalry selection that can be adapted for multiple situations and can take out enemy light cavalry to dominate the mobility field and give you an edge in battle.
How do you know that? How about you go snort some rat poison, that would amuse everyone that actually has a brain.
Undeads main army is made out of slow units, with cav and flyers allowing limited flanking
Dwarfs, well, they are pretty much the slowest.
Empire does have fast cav, but since their bulk of the units wears armor, they are also slower and this combined with their large amount of slow artillery makes them also slow in general.
Green Skins in general wear little armor, have good boar riders and goblin spider dudes, I think for a overall flexible main force the green skins will do best.
Chaos will be hard to judge, on one hand Maurauders in general should be quick, as they have little armor, but Chaos Knights on the other hand will slow down the bulk of the army.
As for future races, we have to see.
However the Vampire Counts are unique in that they can field an effective army out of only fast elements in their roster. With wraits and ghouls as infantry and omitting all the slow elements in their roster they should get an army that goes from being the slowest available to the fastest available. I don't know if it's viable for multiplayer, but it's certainly going to be for campaign play where you can stack up all your best units in one army.
None of the other rosters can do the same without becoming extremely vulnerable to spears and counter-tactics.
generally the fastest are the wood elves though the brettonians move fast but hit hard as well unlike the WE who prefer to skirmish, all the elves really are fast moving.
