I doubt this will happen. The current consoles are way to anemic.
Of course that doesn't mean they couldn't make a Total War "brand" game designed for consoles in the future, much like we have Total War: Arena (RTS/MOBA) and Total War Battles: Kingdoms (Mobile.) Halo Wars 2, which they are already making for XBox One is also an RTS so perhaps some of what they learn making that could be applied to a future Console Total War.
But for now I'd rather keep Total War as a PC game, as I think it's the best fit and it's what I enjoy playing.

yep its the same reason Dune games arent arount either :(
Its the same reason why XCOM2 will not come to the casual toasters.
If you want to play serious strategy games you have to get a decent PC.
Really even if they would ever decide it to port games like this you will have to play with 15-20 fps, max 720p, gamecube graphics and less features because your hardware cannot handle it.
