-> The Giants per action damage is really huge but personally 500+ damage is an overkill. Very good against another large unit.
-> Considering they will be more likely place infront of your army being armoured plays a big role.
can't lose with army :p. black orcs smash most elite infantry to pieces. ork boar boy big uns have fantastic armour piercing + good anti large aswell. the doom divers are sweet. giants for the fun, don't really need them. and the arachnaroks for the poison and sweet destruction
If you're looking multiplayer/figuring out what to do. Giant's are better against other monsters (since they have a ton of damage) and are usually decent against infantry blocks (im not sure how much more effective, but the sheer joy of watching them smash is always fun). Arachnarok's are all around better. They're more mobile, dont get swarmed as easy. Have a really powerful debuff and enough damage to ruin most units easily.
Only reason why I bring Giants is to see them devour units... the total immersion and gore the giant brings outmatch the Arachnarok Yeah other than that Arachnarok is still the best all around.
one of the best animation in the game. when they pick up a unit, look at it and them slam it on the ground and again and again :p
