The Silver Seal problem

I had my witchhunter deploy and finished the first quest, but no quest has popped up after that. I tried moving him around and redeploying but the second part of the chain wont start. Any suggestions?

You deployed him at Altdorf area? Need to wait 1 turn after hitting deploy without moving him. Then it should pop up with a choice box to go to part 2.

yah i did that. i got 1500 gold and then nothing else happened

Yeah, this happened to me as well. Is it permanently bugged?

I did wait a turn, I deployed him, end turn, next turn it said quest complete, so I moved him away, a couple of turns later, I realise that the next part of the quest hasn't started.

I had to go back in time to before I had started the quest, but yes it was perma-bugged. I think 1 of 2 things may have caused this. #1 was having two of karl franz's quests active, and #2 is because i may have hit escape after i had to choose on how to proceed to step 2.

I also had the Molten Cloak quest battle ready to be played during this ordeal, and honestly it could have been any number of things, but I really think it was because I had 2 karl franz quests active. So I guess any advice would be to finish Ghal Maraz before hitting level 18 with franz. I hit level 18 from finishing ghal maraz and then had the witchhunter do his thing. No problems so far with that current campaign.
