How do i take a Ruined City?

I see npc's around me are moving into these ruins and making new cities out of them but i can't seem to do the same?

just move one of your armies or a general over that particular settlement. The more troops you have the lees it will cost. once you are there click over the city as if you were attacking it then you'll see an option to "colonize".

Depends on your race, let me break it down.

Empire/Vampire Counts - Can only resettle ruined Empire/Vampire cities. This requires either troops + money, or just more money (Empire it is 2.5k if you don't have any troops to discount who are then taken away from your army)

Dwarves/Greenskins - Can only resettle ruined Dwarves/Greenskins cities. This requires either troops + money, or just more money (Empire it is 2.5k if you don't have any troops to discount who are then taken away from your army)

Chaos can't resettle any cities at all.

So if you are trying to resettle a city and your race can't take it, it won't work. When you can do it you take a lord up to it like you are going to attack it and it will give you the option to either leave it alone or resettle it.

or ......................................... you can skip all those r e tarded restrictions by clicking on the workshop and looking for a mod called Conquer Anywhere - Regional Occupation Removal
you should see it after clicking, it is already a favorite mod.
