Does anyone find it odd that only small Youtubers are covering this?

It certainly seems fishy to me.
I get that one of the big ones is boycotting them, which is fair enough but there are many other Youtubers who aren't and have covered the series religiously over the years, yet they don't have a video out. Biggest ones I've seen has 150k or so subs.
It certainly stinks of embargo agreements to me. You will only get code if you do this, this, this and remember to work the balls as well.

There are no large youtubers who have released a video to prove they got review code. The closest is a stream by Angry Joe with a total of 3000 total views and he's a small fry on twitch.

Edit: Ok, apparently people have been huffing paint fumes and have missed the whole ♥♥♥♥ing point, so buckle up, I'm going to make this really, really simple for you guys.

The fact that only small youtubers (besides a sponsored video by the Yogscast, for which they would have had to sign a contract), are covering it on youtube is almost certainly because of parts of the embargo agreement restricting what can and cannot be said. Smaller youtubers aquiesce, they cannot afford to let a pay day like this slip through. Large youtubers can. Twitch is likely not covered by the agreement as Sega is notoriously out of touch with the trends so very likely, didn't even consider twitch.

So seriously, I'm not the only one who finds it suspicious? The fact only small youtubers and brand deals are covering it, is the evidence to support the suggestion that the embargo agreements are very restrictive.

Edit 2: Anyone saying Angry Joe, better post a link to his youtube coverage or will be considered a child, who is incapable of engaging in this discussion as they have provided evidence to support that.

I don't think it's odd that most channels on youtube covering it only have 150k subs and lower. It's a niché title. The only reason someone like joe covers it, is because he has no real genre bracket and picks everything based on the hits he'll get. Obviously he learnt that one from Rome 2.

I can't think who you want or think should be covering this game. Youtube is by no ways a proper journalistic medium. The majority of guys covering Total War are small because the fan base is not that large. And since Warhammer I've seen their channels jump 30 and more thousand subs. It's just a niché title, nothing dodgy.

What about all the streams, collectivly all the videos also. You should be more concerned with the content, not whether it is sponsored or not. The content being showed is what is important.

I really couldn't care less how many subs a channel has. It's crazy and sad that this is supposed to be a "factor" on how people choose games to play lol. I remember a blonde joke about a girl wearing headphones. When she took them off she suffocated. Do people really need large channels telling them to breath?
