Do slayers use hammers?

Hey guys

im thinking about doing a graphical mod on slayers for Total Warhammer, i just want to know do slayers use hammers?

All the table top models i see online have only axes but i see art of slayers with both hammers and axes and Age of Reckoning had slayers whom could use both hammers and axes.

Furthermore were their any slayer units like giant, troll, or dragonslayers whom used only hammers or axes?

Axes only I believe, unless they are slayer pirates.

slayers use anything they get their hands on. slayers that travel to karak kadrin to formally take the slayer's oath are given an axe (in the karak kadrin style) to represent grimnir's axe that left the dwarf people with him when he went into the chaos wastes.

there's a special slayer unit called doomseekers, who use axes on the ends of chains but i try not to think about them much. silly fellows.

Just checked the 8th Edition army book and all the Slayer models and art in that has them wielding axes. All three kinds of Slayers (Daemon Slayers, Dragon Slayers and normal Slayers - Lords, Heroes and a unit, respectively) have their weapon in the army list simply called "Array of axes" which links with a special rule they all have called "Slayer Axes". Basically, the unit with that rule gets to start the battle with either a pair of axes or a single great axe.

In the novels slayers use anything and everything to kill their enemies, but model wise are usually represented with axes.

i think lorewise hammer is a noble weapon for dwarfs thus slayers are forbidden (meaning they forbid themselves, for go try to forbid anything to a slayer...) to use them.
