I am saying creatures of Chaos should spread the correct form of Chaos. Chaos doesn't mean making everything look like Mordor. Chaos can also be thick forests and jungles full of beasts and poisonous plants. It can be a flooded plain full of horrors. Yes, the Everchosen should spread the Chaos Wastes with him, but Beastmen would first and foremost restore THEIR natural habitat, which is a land covered in thick forests full of death and chaos.
Yes, that. It may be mildly nitpicky, but it makes it feel less like I'm playing a unique race and more a very solid reskin.
you don't understand the nature of chaos ... chaos don't care about trees or which gods and creatures serve it...
chaos is self destruction...
Because you assume logical behaviour. Chaos have it in it's name
No but I also don't think Chaos corruption spreads without a willingness of those spreading it. Again, Chaos corruption is not a single thing. Hell, it varies between which individual God is worshipped in much of the lore. There's plenty of things about the 'ground turning black beneath his feet' in regards to the Everchosen and his armies, but nothing about the Beastmen doing the same despite being Chaos worshippers. As such, I assume it has more to do with a willingness of the Everchosen to spread his corruption in the way he does, ie, spreading the Chaos Wastes.
Don't see any reason at all that the Beastmen would do the same.
Big difference here being: Beastmen are not Chaos, they are followers of Chaos.
Please read up on End Times and what happens in Athel Loren and in the Drakenwald.
Hint: The trees are reduced to rotten stumps, beastmen light up forrests to signal other herds, The Tree of Life is reduced to a shallow husk full of maggots.
They are the manifestation of Chaos. One of the beastmen causes things around him to turn into Chaos Spawns.
Chaos Warriors worship Chaos, beastmen are the children of Chaos. They even speak the dark tongue - not even Chaos Warriors do that. (save for certain champions)
Yeah I dig this. A differnt form of chaos corruption would be sweet.
But that wouldn't make sense lore wise and CA wants to stay true to the lore.
Like a horde like the huns and mongols they herd a lot of pasture animals and those animal eat a lot. In case w/ beastman they are herd themselves.
Does that sound like lava boiling up from the ground and a desert forming? No, it sounds like a peat swamp, as I was saying: A dark, dank, wetland/forest/jungle of disgusting creatures. Your sources say nothing about the entire land being scorched to cinders and resembling the Chaos Wastes. As for Beastmen and their origins: Come on, man. You know as well as I that Beastmen have multiple origin myths, all of which are alluded to as what they THINK happened, never as what DID happen. There is no definitive proof that they are Chaos spawn, just as there is no definitive proof that they are simply beasts that migrated south. Just what one herd thought or what some Imperial theorized.
