They use to be but that was an older edition.

Well, dragon ogres are not beastmen or a chaos perverted thing that mutated from something into dragon ogres. They are an ancient race who started to serve the Chaos. So thematicaly wise they do fit better with Chaos Warriors. That is why in older editions they becaome a part of their roster instead of beastmen.

There'll definitely be a mod for that - I was discussing it with someone on Reddit two days ago.

They actually look like a real good fit for the roster in tactical terms as well as visually (with a few mods to make them more bestial looking).

Surprising that CA didn't make the models have their iconic dragon-scale legs, but the look they did go with will work well for Beastmen IMO.
