Chaos Giant or Dragon Ogre Shaggoth

Im playing as Chaos, and I love the big monsters (seeing them smashing down gates before charging into the helpless men inside is pure gold)... but I have to wonder... which is better?: Chaos Giant or Dragon Ogre Shaggoth? Im only asking about thier battlefield differences... Campaign differences can be ignored (i.e upkeep and "easy to get" 'ness)

Shaggoth are much faster, have missile resistance but have less health and damage.

Giants are slow with lots of health and good damage but go down easily to ranged


I would advise getting shaggoth as with the building you can also get regular dragon ogres which are very good. Also with kholek DOs are very cheap

Chaos Giants are a bit more durable and powerful but Shaggoths move much faster across the battlefield.

Giants. Unmodded Shaggoths are mediocre at best I've found.

The Shaggoth attacks much faster and can actually charge (thus dealing MUCH MORE damage than the giant). He can also dodge luminark shots and canon shots while the giant gets rekt. However the giant has more health/leadership and is "thinner" thus taking less hits in melee.

Actually I've found the little Dragon Ogres to be better than both.
