Stops all that nonsense.
You pay a price diplomatically, but everyone hates you anyway and you can't trade, so who cares?
Thanks, will help greatly.
You're welcome. Let me know if it still works. I discovered it by accident when one of mine declared war on another, making that latter one my enemy, too, and I just happened to be near it.
One thing that would help a LOT is if you could give a war coordination target of a faction's OWN settlement, essentially telling it to protect its own land.
Stupid AI blunders off with armies while leaving their homes undefended.
Mind you, Chaos later in the game is designed to operate better in ENEMY territory than in friendly (tech + hero skills), so using friendly territory for replenishment is really only relevant in the early part of the game (until you kill a certain mystery guest, so to speak).
Once I have skills to recruit lvl 8 troops at significant discounts in enemy territory, I don't care what happens to the North because I don't need it and will wreck any AI dumb enough to have sent their armies there.
Odd, it did in my game.
That's what I expected.
I awakened and subjugated two tribes, but when I awakened a third, then declared war on them to subjugate them, the other two I had didn't join me which means they broke away and are now at war with me again. So I re-loaded and didn't subjugate the third tribe, but then in the next few turns, the two I had subjugated broke away from me and are now at war with me and the newest tribe again.
So I still have the issue where I can't unite all the tribes, and even with just one big powerful one, they either rebel against me, or break out of my subjugation.
Any more tips?
Like I said in my recent post, I did that, but now instead of fighting each other, eventually they break away from me and go to war with me again.
From now on I will only awaken 1 tribe with the last norscan settlement after I wiped out all the others and will just keep it as an ally.
Sounds shockingly like what happened to me. I subjegated 4 of the tribes then headed south into Bretonnia. They all broke away and declared war on me when I declared war on Bretonnia. So much for my dreams of 4 tribes sending armies to invade the Empire.
I'm half and half on whether to leave them be or letting my other 2 hordes in the region deal with them all.
Agreed. I'll be doing the same as well. From now on only one tribe gets to survive.
