Building Bonuses: Region specific or Empire specific? and maybe some other random questions

Hi all

im playing through as the Dwarfs, and my main question is, are building bonuses region specific or applied to the entire empire? For example, Black Iron Mine in the Desolation of Nagash has a building called 'Arsenal - Metal Upgrades', which is supposed to give troops extra starting XP/levels; am i right in assuming this will only apply to troops recruited in that area?

Also, whats the point in keeping things like Barley fields once youve expanded your buildings to the max (apart from replenishment?)

Yeah the upgrades will only be on units recruited locally and will not be applied if you get them from global recruitment even if you only have one province that can recruit that unit.

Its a good idea to switch out the growth buildings when your settlements have started upgrading,especially in provinces behind border.
