VC Skeletons walk/march looks dumb.
Pretty much all the other units look really good except one or two, but the skeletons march looks really poor. More comedy than 'horror'. The spear skellingtons are not that bad. What gives? :powerfist:

It's to simulate a more "mechanical" or a "puppeteer" effect of being controlled by a necromancer. Their movement isn't going to look fluid, but rather jerky and sudden.

Its awesome to see them marching in sync. Mostly its a tribute to the old claymation skeleton animations from Jason and the Argonaughts and Clash of the Titans.

I understand it's meant to be jerky (maybe like evil dead 3 as well?) But, it seems out of kilt from the rest of the animations. I fully understand it is probably just me that does not like it very much and to be honest I barely notice it during a battle where my eyes are all over the place. Gut I just thing they should march like the humans they once where. The Empire don;t march in weird goose-step.

Only grave gaurd have any sembelance of humanity in them. Skeletons are just bags of bones being jerked around by a necromancer

Dont worry i dont like it either it looks too goofy.

It looks goofy but I've grown to like it. They are supposed to be re-animated bags of bones controlled only my the will of the Necromancer - in other words automata of machines.

Don't like it? Theres a mod that replace the animation. Done.

I love it. The lock-step skeletons are one of my favorite things about the VC.

This - it's a tribute to Ray Harryhausen, the king of stop-motion animation, and it's awesome. :)
Its dance macabre

Out of 'kilt'?

Well the thing is that there's nothing of the humans they once were left. It's just the bones - it'd be like someone in the real world using someone's bones as the framework for a robot; it would move how the robot was programmed, not how the previous owner of the bones moved (and if it does start moving like the person the bones belonged to, you might have to call an exorcist :P ).

OP is just an idiot. Too many people complaining about things coming from the source material. Skeleton warriors are basic and easy to control and easy to animate. That's why I love the effect of them "marching" all at once because they're not moving of their own will, they're skeleton puppets.

Yes, the animations look dumb. Looks more like an animation oversight than something based on lore. If it's true to source material, then the source material sucks for gameplay. Plain and simple.
