Total War Warmachine?
Could Warmachine/Hordes work in the TW format? I'd love to see some 'jacks and beasts duking it out in real time instead of that Tactics game.

Would be interesting. A recent issue of No Quarter even had mechanics for a small-scale "TW-esque" campaign, complete with mustering armies and managing supply bases.

Focus mechanics and such could even be adapted for a real-time environment - basically when you allocate a point of Focus to a warjack, you pick whether it's augmenting the warjack's speed, attack speed, melee/ranged accuracy, melee/ranged damage and so-on. For spells, the full cost is basically allocated to the spell itself for the duration - all of that returning to the warcaster for most spells or most of it if it's an upkeep (with one point remaining on an upkeep spell until the player chooses to pull it off there for either one of their 'jacks or their warcaster).

My only concern is that a TW-style scale might not fit. I'm more worried about things that should be dangerous getting invalidated by sheer weight of numbers. Take one of Cygnar's light 'jacks, the Minuteman. It's whole point is to leap into the fray, setting off a bunch of frag charges to clear infantry, then lay into them with its fists and guns. Deadly when it's leaping into a unit of about ten guys, what's gonna happen when it jumps into a unit of a hundred guys? Think it's gonna perform well then? Admittedly, you could get around it by cycle-jumping (like cycle-charging in a Total War game, just using the Minuteman's leaping ability).
