Empire research

Anyone know if there is a ay to speed up the empire research speeds? Other races have buildings that increase research speed but it seems the empire does not.

you can get followers who increase research, but it is random if you will get them or not

I'm like 275 turns in and no there does not appear to be a way to speed up the research. Buckle up, it's a long way to the 30 technologies researched achievement.

Once you beat the game just end turn a bunch and you will get your cheevo

Wasn't rly after the achievment so much as looking the techs for rank increases at recruitment and all the usefull ones before the game is a long dead memory...

For some reason im researching at 110 %, its probably because of a follower, but i'm not certain.
