Cannon vs Grudgethrower?

Hey guys,

So as Dwarfs (Dwarves? Dwarfs? Dwarths?)... as Dawi which is better the Cannon or the Grudgethrower?

Honestly I don't really see any benefit to the cannon outside of sieging or maybe giant slaying. But even then siege towers reach the walls so quickly its usually irrelevant in my experience. They're both armour piercing, do alot of damage. But the Grudgethrower does more explosive damage with a higher radius making it much better at taking out units. Also the Grudgethrower fires in an arc so It can be placed behind your units with no danger of hitting them and as far as I know the cannon is straight line, or a very low arc.

So I ask in your opinions (opinionz? Opinions? Opinionce?) which do you think is better and am I over looking something about the cannon?

I rarely use cannons at all.
Usually my dwarfen armies have three pieces of artillery, of which at best one in every couple of armies has a single cannon.
As you've said, the only thing it's good for is "sniping" large stuff like giants or breaking down walls in sieges, aside from that I feel like the grudgethrowers outperform the cannons in most situations and are far more versatile to use.

As said, canoans are better for sniping while Grudge Throwers are better for bombabrdment.

Also Dwarfs literally inscribe grudes into the stones the Grudge-Thrower hurls which makes it so much more hardcore.

How about the organ guns or the flame cannons? How do they stack?

I just started playing dwarves and I only have grudge throwers at this point but wanted to get other artillery.

Side note. Also noticed quarrelers absolutely rip apart trolls, and I'd like to know if they work well against giants it other poorly armored monsters.

Organ guns can shred a frontline if you have enough of them. Also, I've had good experiences with cannons against armoured infantry. When I played Dwarfs I went heavy on the artillary, and I would often destroy part of the enemy's front line before they got to me.

Yes, quarrelers will do well against poorly armoured targets
