Grude system (broken?)

So I recently started a dwarf campaign and the grudge system seems to be broken or the tooltips are off. I have 3 grudges I haven't taken care of and 13 total 10 completed in my book. In the meter on the top it has 13 and says some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about longbeards being angry about grudges not being complete.

Either the grudge system is bugged counting all grudges fulfilled or unfulfilled against you, or the tooltip is wrong and all grudges completed or incomplete count against you for public order.

how old are those grudges that are still active? the older the grudge, the more impactful it becomes, if you leave a grudge unfullfilled for too long the longbeards become unhappy about it.

fulfilling an old grudge does give you a nice boost to public order for sometime, however.

if you don't take care of a grudge quickly it will fester over time growing in serverity.

Not all grudges are worth one point. Having three unfulfilled grudges, particularly if they have been unfulfilled for some time, can easily equate to a Grudge-o-meter reading of 13.

Open the Book of Grudges, and in the top left (I think) of each open grudge will be a number indicating its "value". Each grudge has both a base value and an age multiplier, so if you have a grudge with a base value of 2 and an age modifier of 2 (for going a period of time unfulfilled), it will be contributing a total of 4 Grudge Points to your Grudge-o-meter.

Are there grudges that can't be completed? Like if a faction gets wiped out?

Grudges system is interesting. However when it asks you to assassinate someone later down the line it can be very problematic. Dwarfs suck in assassination. So i was forced at some points to destroy Border Princess, Tilea and !!Varg!! as factions to get rid of those grudges.
Also assassination is not realy how dwarfs do things. My way was more like a proper way.

No. A grudge related to faction or character that got wiped out will dissapear.

No. A grudge related to faction or character that got wiped out will dissapear.

Yeah my problem is that I have an old assassinate grudge with a value of 8.
