How I got the Grombrindal key(s)

I phoned my nearest UK GW store [phone] and asked if they did phone sales and the guy said no, in house purchases only. I said I wanted to buy the White Dwarf mag for the code only and to give the mag to the next customer that walked in. He said that was a nice thing to do, wait there... ...And he gave me the code over the phone! Boom!

To activate the key (Thanks @MeanSonOfAGun) go to - Games - Activate a product on Steam. Type the code (caps and dashes matter) and thats it.

THEY ARE ALSO GIVING OUT 20% OFF TW:W KEYS!

I thought I'd start a post to help others get their keys.

Please post how you got yours and it might help someone out...

I walked into a Warhammer store today, I know the owner, I pointed and declared loudly: "I'm here for The White Dwarf." So he handed me the magazine, to which I exclaimed "Not this! The actual White Dwarf... for Total War." We looked at each other for a second then simultaneously gave a war cry of "GROMBRINDAL!!". He's a nice guy, so he just gave me the small card with the code on it for free. Mind you, I have spent a small fortune in that store.

OP - bottom left corner of steam, under games, click the + then activate product and input the key. Took me ages to figure it out, you think they would make it easier and CA would clearly supply that information... I put my 20% off key in another post a few minutes ago

Just in case you didnt know, you can it for free by buying the magazine or by getting a free code by asking. So he didnt really give u anything you werent rightly meant to have:)

You´re lucky. I visited my local Store a couple of minutes ago. They said you would only get it by buying the damn magazine. I was so angry, I wasn´t able to bring myself to buy one.
I showed him the Page. His response: That can only be a mistake.
I also wasn´t the only person asking for it, none of us got one.

If anyone got a spare code, it would be really appreciated.

If you live in the UK and still want it, call this GW store and they'll give it to you over the phone. They've got loads...

Mhh, I live in Germany, but I guess the phone call would still be cheaper, than buying the magazine, and it would not make me feel like I folded. Thanks for the Idea.

went to the local GW store @ Putney, London. Asked for the code, they pointed me towards a pile of cards, I took one and asked if I can take two more for my friends, they said I can take as many as I like. <3 These cards also include another code for 20% off the base game, for those who are interested ;]
