Total War: WARHAMMER
Grindelwald vs Voldemort
Okay its time for us to discuss who is the actual dark lord of magic. And is considered the strongest?

Grindelwald or Voldemort or Sarthorael the Everturkey.

I say Grindelwald.
He is Albus Dumbledore's childhood friend and he did get ahold of the Elder Wand.

Not to mention Voldemort killed him in his cell which he has been in for 40+ years and no wand. But even when Voldemort came, he laughed at the guy as if Voldemort was a joke.

Okay so at first I was super confused, but I read your response and now it all makes sense.

I'm not a huge Potterhead, but I'm kinda leaning towards Grindelwald, at least when it comes to a comparison between him and Voldemort, because as you said, Grindelwald did a lot of stuff before Voldemort was even born, and laughed at him like he was a chump. Don't get me wrong, Voldemort was a super bad guy who was saturated in dark magic, but I feel that Grindelwald was the one who laid the foundations, and was the more influential (maybe even stronger) of the two, at least in his prime.
2 Handgunner win no doubt
Alan Moore is the Lord of all wizards.
Saw the fantastic beasts recently and Grindelwald wins hands down. Until he is blindsided the climax, he takes on 15+ aurors and he is winning without breaking a sweat
Voldemort was villian in story for kids so its hard to bet on him.
Sarthorael the Everturkey <--- he could be biggest threat.
Sarthorael. If you knew the capabilities of a Lord of Change, you would know why he would win. I can explain if need be.

I don't like your sarcasm, sir.

A Lord of Change is a greater demon of Tzeentch, and these Greater Demons of Tzeentch, despite already possessing tremendous power, have the greatest control over magic and its winds. Note, they wouldn't be able to defeat the other lords in a test of physical strength, but they'll rek any mortal without effort. They are also gifted with the ability to see into the future and the past and, only if Tzeentch wills it, will not fail in dodging and/or predicting attacks. They're extremely cunning and crafty and are more than capable of using their powers to warp and twist the minds of those around them or simply turning them into chaos spawn.

It's worth noting that the most powerful Lords of Change can actually effect reality in some pretty amazing ways. One of the greatest lords of change, Kairos Fateweaver, is capable of manipulating probabilties; making attacks that should hit him miss, spells that should fail succeed, etc.

Only the strongest of the Slaan Mage Priests can hope to match them in a battle of sorcery. Most of the strongest mortal wizards don't even come close to the magical power of a Lord of Change. They're raw chaotic magic given form, and therefore control the winds of magic on a personal level no other wizard could hope to achieve.

So yea, my vote goes to the LoC.

Isnt Grindelwald equivalent to Hitler or something in that world?

Grindelwald wants to conquer the world and rule non-magical people and magical people with a council of wise old wizards and witches. Albus believed in that...

but their relationship deteriorated during a three way duel between Albus, his brother and Grindelwald. to which Albus and his brother's sister who is revealed to be an Obscurial died.
and of the three none of them knew who killed her.
Albus blamed himself and Grindelwald
Albus Bro blamed Albus
Grindelwald is unsure.
