How to change difficulty of a campaign in mid-game?

Started on easy thinking that I wouldn't be able to handle the harder difficulties, but now that I'm deep in my save it's getting too easy. Want to change the difficulty but don't see an option. Only see an option for battle difficulty. Help?

You choose the difficulty for your campaign in the beginning. No way to change it.

You can change both in WH2 at least.

You can try only with mods maybe, like better AI mods, maybe some would work even after a game started.
