Total War: WARHAMMER

Statistiche:
Best Grand Campaign Race For First Timer?
Looking for something that is easy to start with. I was thinking Greenskins but I'm open to anything.

If your trying greenskin i suggest be agressive you will alway be on constant warfare but avoid dealing the undead until you conquered the badlands.

Being passive as greenskin will hurt you but you can raid in dwarf land to maintain your integrity. I suggest build a waagh in early game.

Easiest faction in the game will be VC, you have powerful economy beginning of the game. Your early enemies are necromancer w/ Vlad and Mannfred you can easily conquer their main settlement in 1 turn. VC tactics is quite simple have a meatshield to bog down the ai and your monster or cavalry unit will attack on flanks.

If your worried about range unit as VC play as Vlad, it makes Ai range unit useless w/ Vlad vanguard ability.

Problem w/ VC you need to spread your corruption so that you will not suffer attrition and public order. Also they don't have range and siege unit.
Despite what everyone says. I found beastmen and chaos to be the easiest. I think it was not having to watch my borders.
VC Easiest faction?? not any more, Elves are like Chaos very early in the game now for the VC after the Hotfix for Elves.

The Empire is the most traditional of all the factions and the most flexible on the battlefield. But you will be on the defensive quite a bit from the various other races, particularly the Vampires and Beastmen.
I've played every faction & I'd say Beastmen.

Not quite sure if the OP have all DLC so i only recommend the vanilla faction in the game. If this is his first time playing this game i totally don't recommend OP to buy the DLC of this game until OP knows the mechanics of this game.
Messaggio originale di Maschinengewehr:
Dwarfs.

Dwarves have to deal with Orcs & they keep grudges.
Dwarfs get a good starting point and the best economy in the game. Their units are defensive and have good ranged assets letting a novice player set up a pillbox and let the beardlings do most of the work. Nearly all your units are armored and shielded, which counters a lot of units other races have. Greenskins struggle to get enough AP to deal with Dwarves.

Yes, that's a plus. However, with a newb...campaign mechanics are the most difficult thing to grasp at first. Therefore, a horde army that's easy to play with would be the best option.
Dwarf. Good infantry with easy tactic (just build a solid line, holf it, and have your range/arty bombard anyone coming to you) plus if you use underway to constantly move or force enemies to attack you its possible to win against 2-3 stacks easily and destroy them all.
In that regard, I'd suggest Beastmen if you spring for the DLC. They have their own mini campaign (pretty fun) but can also play in the Grand Campaign. I found them easier to play than Chaos (the other horde faction) as their stealth and Morrislieb bonuses allowed you to quickly recover losses and do surgical strikes on weak targets.

A word of advice: if you are new, and auto resolve says you are pretty much guaranteed to win, go ahead and play out the battle. It will give nice practice and even if you botch everything you probably have such a numerical/power advantage it won't matter too much.
Empire if you want to get your feet wet with something similar to a traditional Total War faction in terms of gameplay. Dwarfs are pretty easy as well and they tend to be more defensive if you like a slower paced campaign.

I would suggest the Empire as the best race for newbies as they are pretty much straightforward and have all types of "classic medieval" units (swordsmen, spearmen, archers, cavalry, artillery etc).

However it's been ages since my last Empire campaign (way before the DLCs started pouring out). I've heard it is much harder now with the Beastmen and the WE added, because Altdorf starts surrounded by all types of enemies.
I would go with the greenskinz bc their playstyle is basic archers in back aggresive infantry while the dwarfs are the same with a amazing economy while the vc have a amazing starting position.
Dwarf with no doubt .
