But it was all the plot set up by Lileath, who was the one poisoning Ariel. Eventualy Ariel had died and her divine spark had passed to Alarielle who was nearby. She turned new living Isha and was admited as the new queen by Ariel's/Isha's daughters Naestra and Arahan, and then by Orion and all the other Asrai.
Some time later Alarielle had traveled back to Avelorn concerned about the fate of Ulthuan. With a small host of Asrai led by Orion and lord Daith, the third living god - Vaul. Tyrion, by this point fully consumed by the madness of Khaine, had learned about his old lover coming back and made his way to Avelorn in hopes of getting Alarielle to fight on his side. With an army of his own behind him.
It did not realy went well. Alarielle was wraithfull at all the things happening in Ultuan and saw that at the core of all this was none other than Tyrion, and basicaly told him to GTFO. Tyrion in turn was greatly angered by that answer and ordered an atack. Wood elves were greatly outnumbered, and Orion stood his ground giving time for others to flee. He was slain by Widowmaker ending his cycle of rebirth once and for all. Daith also had fallen by a witch elf pretending to be dead and stabing him in the back.
What is more ironic AoS wiped the slate clean. Alarielle had left WE and they refused to join any other elf faction. Malekith and his dark elves took a role of guarding imprisoned Slaanesh. And high elves became the only important elves anywhere ever with Tyrion at their head. So the whole elven civil war arc was basicaly useless. GW had outdone themselves once again.
