confederating woodelves?

i upgraded the oak to lvl 3 which supposedly unlocks confederating but i still cant for some reason ... do i have to fill a certain seat in my cabinet or something ?

no you need the tec to confederate

Is it not an option in diplomacy or they just don't want to? If it's the former, then make absolutely sure that your Oak is upgraded to allow for confederation (mouse over it and also make sure it's still not under construction).

If it's the latter, then you probably just need to improve relations with them.

my oak was rank 4 just to be sure and my relations where allmost at 100+. i now wonder if it had something to do with being allied to Norsca since it was in multiplayer. but that would be terrible ..

Icyage it doesn't matter who you are allied too if your relations are high enough. There may be a red penalty but as long as the green bonuses outweight it, then you can still confederate.

same problem here. seems like its a bug. didnt find anything in the internet or any changes for confed in the patchnotes.

it was such a bummer too because my friend as norsca expanded rapidly while i was stuck with 1 city and no chance to grow ...

ye its pretty disappointing to play elves atm. i mean its no problem to conquer torgovann and Wydrioth since they have no legendary lord. but i really want to confederate with the wood elves / argwylon to get orion and durthu.

They usually confederate once chaos starts rampaging on the map. Also if you have a large enough bribe (20k-50k) they will probably do it earlier. Another thing to do is wait til they lose a major battle and they'll want to confederate. Make them allies then send them into places you wouldn't want to go.

I know this has nothing to do with confederating with the wood elves, but...

I usually mass up several of the cheapest armies while my starting Durthu army goes around razing bretonians/humans/dwarves for gold.

By turn 35 i managed to CONQUER/occupy all the wood elf cities and from that point on the economy becomes so strong nothing can stand against you.

as i said.. conquering is not the problem. just want the legendary lord from the other faction. and its not about the size of the army or the standing. the confederate button is just not existing even with max level tree and 100 standing. in one forum someone said that you need 15 amber now to confederate. couldnt test it.
