This.
Please don't go looking for things that ain't there.
And also this, context matters.
The long and short of it is:
A bunch of '80's nerds took some generic fantasy races (Elves, Dwarfs, Men, Orcs, etc), put their own spin on it in line with what where populair themes at the time.
(Where do you think all the spikes come from? Heavy metal was a big deal back then!)
Then they needed to put them in a fantasy world to have their conflict make sense:
Not being able to be bothered to create one from scratch, they made one vaguely resembling our own and dumped said races in places they thought would work nicely to create some backstory.
"There, job done, we can all go home now"
EDIT:
Games Workshop's only saving grace when it comes to their piss poor creativity (or lack thereof) comes from the Skaven and to some extend the Tomb Kings.
In the whole of the Warhammer universe, filled with all those races, those two would be the only factions coming close to being "unique" and their own creation.
All the rest are variations on High Fantasy factions seen before in other works.
And it's still stretch at that.
Really, what makes you think Orcs talk like African Americans? Is is "git" or "oi"?
There are savage orks roaming the empire and an ork-tribe in the mountains northwest of marienburg. Then there is the Crooked Moon near Altdorf.
They generally taken references with their factions, but politically incorrect...eh. They are stereotypical and exxagerated, but that applies to every race and they are all douches in the end in some way or form.
The only stuff in fantasy that's iffy is maybe tomb kings or lizardmen, given that they're basically just irl cultures as undead / lizards, but other than that there's not really anything too bad.
