I will send agents to the region to fight the chaos corruption in the region. I also use raiding stance because that minimizes attrition rates to 0.

Sometimes I need to go into ambush stance to catch armies that don't want to fight. That's where the agents bringing down corruption comes in handy.

Wood elves can conquer Norsca but it's a pain in the butt for any other faction to take out the Norscans completly. I usually just try to get a peace treaty with the Varg and Skaeling after the Chaos invasion event.

Personally, I would like some advice regarding good ways to fight Chaos in general as the Vampires. I can't really advance due to the lack of vampire corruption, which limits my options somewhat. My agents also don't seem to be having a lot of luck with the assassination game, though I suppose that comes down to the will of the Random Number God.

Raid stance+systematic cleansing.

Leave the Norscans alone when Chaos is still active. Anyone interested in smashing them afterwards will need multiple armies. What I find works is to take out the port settlements first and then push for the inland settlements with reinforcing armies. Manually fight battles to minimize casualties.

Use grave guard w great weapons, cairn wraiths and crypt horrors to take on Chaos Warrior and Chosen units.

Fell bats, vargeists or any cav unit can take out hellcannons.

Blood knights and terrogeists are your anti-large, so they can handle trolls and giants.

Hexwraiths or Blood knights can take Chaos knights too.

Bringing a mortis engine if you can afford one will help too.

I don't have Blood Knights or Mortis Engines yet, but I'll keep the rest in mind. Do you have any suggestions regarding how to convince the Norscans to attack me instead of the Imperials?

Oh, and how do Varghulfs stack up against Crypt Horrors? Which is preferable to have?

I like using both Varghulfs and Horrors, the former smashes lines better than the latter but has lower leadership.

I like to get other factions to fight them for me most times. It is just such a long process to wipe them out. Requiring multiple armies so they do not continue to colonize razed cities.

I use the diplomatic option to have allies target them. Starting with the nearest cities then moving inward. Doing this really helps lessen their incursions since they are defending their cities or losing them.

I usually use more than one allie to target one settlement. This helps insure at least one will go for it.

Depending on how things are going I may send an army or two to aid my allies.

Most times by the time a get a long victory they just have 2-3 settlements on the morthern coast with very little effort from me.

I also learned what helps is not wiping out an Norsca army when they are in your terrority. Do not wipe them out but weaken them and try to destroy as many units you can. This causes them to retreat to Norsca instead of raising another army. It buys you more time. Since instead of raising a fresh army right away they have to travel back to replenish.
