it isnt so bad im doying it on hard wit ha friend but some tips
- your friend should give you money he has ton of income
- stay with cheap units for a while and use isabella as reforcer or to keep other area secure she is also the best starter lord you can pick cause vlad can be recruited on turn 2 for zero dark magic
-expand west and south i took over the moot en alverheim regions then i went to the border princess
-made friends with greenskins and help them stop the dwarfen mencence by using hit and run tactics and assasinations afther a while chaos showed up around turn 130 for us (aparently linked to size of the empire)
-now im building my good army with graveguards
-also use the renowed units there insane and dont require special buildings
and with spearmen and skeleton warriors and vargeist you can get by quite alot just pick your batles i used them until chaos showed up now im building graveguards and cairn wraights

but best thing you can do is let him give you money and stay with cheap armies cause you can win fights with them if you know how
also if you want to get vlad rings its one of the hardeste battles i have fought so far i did one atempt but if you wanna do it early focus on the mortis engine > then the hero and try to kill as little units as posible if a unit is near death ♥♥♥♥ wil happen that you wil not like and your army wil crumble so mortis engine > then enemy lord

isabella starts with 2 vampires one death and one shadow i made the shadow into growth and vampire corruption and the death one (aparently nerfed but stil works for me maby even beter then befor or i got beter XD )as caster intire caster tree (get hunger asap) then i went to combat tree also vlad should probly get living death you get +12 melee attack on your graveguards that give you 1/3 more melee attack and 12 charge they wil go from 8 to 20 charge so thats someting to think about :) and the more leader ship you can put on your units the stronger they get caues they wotn route they crumble and the longer they have leadership the more insane they are :)

ow ye ignore the special building its powerful but 2 its not nessary both of you got special buildings there yours is superior but totaly not required having to many vampires kost upkeep and each is like 233 upkeep id rather have early necromancers :) cheaper buildings + more income and they get traits afther awhile that increase it even futher guinius is up to 20% +20% from skills is quite a reduction in costs

Stacking magnamious trait necromancers + advisor trait for 20% extra income, then stacking as many necromancers as you can get in Drakenhof can earn you insane amounts of money.

You could try stacking necromancers in any high income province, though, for similar results. Bonus point if it's a gold/gem mine settlement but they're rare outside of Dwarf/Orc territory.

Nice pun in the title, btw. All I can suggest is that you try to grab and fortify Wolfenburg. It's got the only other human/vampire-settlement gold mine, I think, but its northerly position makes it vulnerable to Chaos and Norsca later on.

Also, as the von Carsteins have skills to buff air units, it's worth trying to capture Artois and Nordland - both provinces let you build two +3 level buildings to buff Fell Bats, Dire Wolves, Vargheists, Varghulfs and Terrorgheists. Couple with the +2 level tech and you can recruit level 8 critters in those places at a minimum, which just reinforces the emphasis on air superiority that the von Carsteins have.

But yeah, it's very much the case that the Vampire Counts have an easier start than the von Carsteins. That's...part of the challenge? Co-op as both factions was not the sort of thing I'd expected honestly, since you're competing for the same very limited resources.

I really wish you could gift cities in diplomacy

Standard solution is just to let a rebel army form, seize or raze the desired city, then take it from them. Or reoccupy it...that's the downside of vampire-held settlements. Still, do it early enough and it's not a massive time and cash-sink.

Yeah, I know it's far from ideal. I don't like doing that myself.

A bunch of necromancers with advisor traits does indeed stack. I'm playing on vanilla with no mods so unless multiplayer campaign screws it up, it should work fine.

You just won't see it increase immediately. You have to either end your turn, or perform an action that causes the game to do a positional update such as moving an army into a garrison. It's the same thing with item quests. Even if you fufill the conditions, it won't trigger until there's an update on the map.
