The answer to that should decide it, since the only one to say if you should give up or not is yourself.
I had campaigns where I wanted to face the odds and kept going.
It turned out to be a good campaign
In other campaigns I said: ♥♥♥♥ it. Too much of a hassle. NEXT!
And it was the right decision at this point, since I would have just agonized my way through it and potentially given up anyway
Anyway I started a new game and turned directly for the dwarfs in the Badlandes and now the table and turned.
By turn 60+ I outranked the dwarfs by 3:1 and I can soon siege Karak Eight Peaks.
I also lower the difficulty from hard to normal.
Playing with mostly goblins on the hard difficulty was simple to though for me.
