Lydia is too dumb to live, or do I miss something?

Hi,

I met Hank and save his wife.

Next day, her wife told me to 'meet her at the camp' ?

However when I did the quest to meet her 'at the camp' I finished on the road when I rescued her the day before, fighting horde of zombies until I almost die.

And next day, I learnt she died.
By my fault.
Because she wanted to met me.
In the middle of a zombie horde, that somehow she thought was safe.

Is she a moron or is there an hidden option to meet her ?

Just how do you meet people outside the camp??? Game's so messy and unclear, well worth 2 dollars lol

To meet people outside the camp itself, just visit the location called campsite.

Just go to the "Quest Map" with the travel-options, then you should have clicked on the option "Campsite", then the two of you should fight off a Zombie horde of two waves, after that she wants to go and find a diner to flirt with you. If you didn't go to find a diner, maybe that's the reason she has died, since the game is as weird as it is.

Its worse than this, too often she is alive during missions and you return and she magically dies. No real reason for it, just dies. So yeah maybe she is too dumb to live.
