It made no sense in my opinion. Liz was one of my best team members. I got her the gun of her dead boyfriend, let her keep it and leveld her up to 10 in Assault Rifles. She was the most useful team member i had. Included in any mission. There was not a single clue about her being crazy.
Then this quest came up and you cant even talk to the people in the camp before making a decision, its just " yeah no, throw someone out, now!". That was really poorly made. I exiled Mary the nurse because she was the only one with mental issues and i guessed her medication ran out by now. When Liz was revealed later i was like " wait, WHAT?". Not a fan of this whole quest. Either let us talk to the other survivors before making that decision or you need to include a lot more clues that something is wrong with Liz.
Alo this quest triggerd really late for me, around day 39 or so and the resolution who the traitor was came on the final day, day 44. So i gone from the reveal to the ending sequence. Which felt weird.
I just backed up the savegame and some days cued :)
Especially since the game has another character with Mary who clearly IS mentally disturbed. Getting her psych meds is a whole questline. So she seemed the much more logical choice. Apparently Liz becomes more obvious when you take her dead boyfriends gun from her but i never did that and trained her in it. So i really dont remember any kind of strange behaviour from her. She was pretty much at the bottom of my list of suspects when the quest came up.
They really should add a possibilty to question the other survivors for some alibi or similar.
Liz could say something like " oh i was taking a walk with my boyfriend at the time" and then the player would think " hmm thats weird i thought her boyfriend was dead?" if they rememberd it.
That would be a clue but not a 100% confirmation since she could have gotten a new boyfriend from the group of survivors. But it still could make you doubt her. Something like that.
Not only that, I lost a 2nd person because of this event as well.
That's really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ to have an event almost at the end of the game that just up and kills off 2 of your people. (Not to mention actually losing a 3rd person since I exiled the wrong character)
If you're trying to piss people off by really stupid scripted events, you've succeeded.
Hey hope you didn't need them for that end game run in the desert! :/
I am sick of seeing those that suffer from mental illnesses also being stereo-typed as 'psychos' and violent people.
And i had a event in the bar where XXX had a arguing with trish about stealing rations. Is this new?
