GAME SAVING BROKEN???

So I recently started playing this game again, and I noticed that saving the game, or even overwriting an old save file doesn't work? I've tried what the game says, play around and try again, but it doesn't work. Very sad because I love the game so much. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game but nothing seems to work. Nothing seems to be working, and the game crashes every 15 minutes. Please give some advice, I can't figure it out.

Hm, any chance the directory you're using for the game data is read only? I know that happened to me with an old computer - for some reason, like all of the C drive had read only status. That's the only thing that really jumps to mind for me. I didn't have an issue making hard saves in the game.

Go to the folder the game is in. Right click and pick "Properties," and at the bottom, see if the box is checked next to "Read Only." It shouldn't be.

Change your system and/or third-party anti-virus settings to allow Holy Potatoes to edit folder contents and this should be fixed.

I had the same problem using Avast. I would just disable it when I wanted to save.
