It was a mini game but it was so cool man. Idk if it inspired the devs here. The core mechanic game looks different. In David vs. Goliath it was just like those starship game where you go up to continue, and shoot enemies.

Hey, I looove old games (sometimes even more than new ones ahah)! Proudly playing since 92 (more or less consciously:) but including the ealier games), but haven't checked this one. Thank you for sharing!
Yet we have a looot of inspirations for this one for sure, starting with, well original David vs. Goliath "story" and Iron Giant ending with FMA and Borderlands:)
