Help with Heroes Mode Level 3 with Lu Bu

Hello,

I am stuck on the third level of heroes mode where the main character is Lu Bu. In the scenario, allaince forces will attack Dong Zhuo and Lu Bu is tasked to fight them off. The first wave was easy, but for the second wave with Yuan Shao, Cao Cao, Sun Jian, and Liu Bei, I keep on running out of the 20 days time limit. I don't see how i can do it under this time. Any advice or suggestions?

Bumping since I'm stuck in the same place. In fact, I didn't even realize it was 20 days, I just knew that I kept losing and getting a message that I was out of time.

I tried turtling with one group in a camp outside the city walls and flanking with a second group at the enemy combatants from behind. Try executing a pincer attack where possible and use defensive structures to your advantage.

Well this is my case:
Get Lube, destroy the 1st wave is easy. The second wave come, I take only Lubu with horse out on the defence, start in the middle camp, wait a bit, they seperate their force (yeah since I sit stil and they have much number advantage), decide to get the smaller part (this case is cao cao, xihou dun and 1 more I don't remember), manage to destroy the unknown one 1st since he is far ahead, then run after Dun, get him and go for Cao Cao, he hold up in their base. At this time the other force run back, manage to get Cao to only like 100 soldier but other surround me, active skill, deal as much damage as I can then lost (yeah I lost the battle), but wait, since it's too fast, I back to the big map, run back to Luo Yang, lucky me it's already the end of the month, some soldier has spawned. Take 1900 archer with me. This time the same like before, just that when they spit, I just stand on the wall and rain arrow down on them, when they break 1st door, I ran a bit, and they only send 1 troop after me, kill him easily (c'mon I'm Lubu here), continue like that and just some how manage to destroy all their force.

I just send all my guys there and used Lu Bu's strategy. The enemy forces melted away like snow in a desert.

Have you guys trying to get troops from other city to join in? I reinforced Lu Bu with troops from Hong Nong and Chang An to join my main army at Luoyang

For some reason I keep timing out on the 'raise fealty' phase of this same mission-- Luoyang's fealty doesn't go up and then I run out of time.

How do you transport troops between cities? Do I form and army every time then disperse?

I was making a mistake-- I didn't realize you had to propose training and then go to the barracks to train. As far as @Melechavic's concern goes, I don't believe that you can. You certainly couldn't in NA. Disperse sends them back home.

Melecahvic, just deploy armies from other cities and march them to Luoyang. If you already have troops from Luoyang deployed (eg. Lubu), they will join up as a single army

What is the time for this scenario, seem like I read above you have 20 days to defeat 2 armies which seem impossible. The First enemy is marching next to you in LuoYang which lead by Kong Rong and allies, the 2nd armies is Cao Cao and allie by Hu Lao Gate. The time to travel between Lou Yang and the gate is like 5-6 days. The time to fight in city is like 8-10 days if you just aim at the camp. Then I head to the Gate to fight 2nd battle and time run out.
That is I left some troops to fight auto at Lou Yang and travel out to fight at Hu Lao Gate to save time, I still got time run out.
Ps : I figure it out, they time these heroes scenario not to exceed 3 months ,so start date was in April, I got to July and it was out of time .

I haven't done that one in a while, but yes, I think I passed it when I realized you don't have to spend that much time training the troops. As soon as it says it is enough, you need to launch your campaign, otherwise you won't have enough time for the battles. Remember that you can make formations with 2-3 officers to make your armies stronger, to make up for the lack of training. You also have reinforcements that you can bring from other cities, if needed. Assign them to advance to Lu Bu, rather than the location, and they will join his force when they arrive. There is a limit to the number of armies in a single battle (I think around 10, but not really sure). If possible, you want to give time for the armies to re-form near you, and then bring them in with morale restored, before engaging your armies. You will lose days doing this, but the increased morale will help you fight and eliminate the enemy more quickly, so hopefully a positive gain on the time. If you don't waste time training, you should have plenty of time for the battles. I don't think the battles themselves were really that difficult... you just need the time.

I finish it, the next Hero Mode for Sun Ce have the date and time for finish next task. Lu Bu one is too vague or they missing it.
A first, I thought you need multiple officer to fend off 2 waves, but I form 4 unit with Lu Bu, Zhang Liao, Dong Zhou, and Gao Shun. Got morale boost with multiple units attacking, but Lu Bu will always be main attacker with his op skill :) . The Hero mode seem to lack to fun part from it, but the campaign mode, I finish with Lu Bu as emperor.
