They've almost completely left out the later game events.
Now I suppose I know why the latest scenario is just 214AD. Man, they really need to add in the later stuff.
Not sure but I believe as long as the cities on the plains are not taken by anyone, yuan will take them and I think that is what triggers. Lu jiang has to be owned by yuan shu, for example in order for sun ce to take it over from him. If someone else takes over lu jiang, the event wont happen. I think.
Hopefully they will, for now though we can view the later scenarios through Hero Mode.
Yes there is an end. just take yellow turban cities until the game pretty much asks you if you if you want to advance with the plot. if playing with liu bie, no matter how many of there cities you take, he jin will offer you the city of "pun yang" or something like that. and recet all cities and lords to don zhuo settings.
